This makes me happy. I've never read fan fiction. That interview/article will likely change that. So many stories, and well done ones, at that. I was really skeptical of the Worlds program. But it sounds great.

I love that you're in support of FF. I personally think it helps people practice their creativity but some authors are against it.
In hopes of encouraging new writers, I hereby commit to buy every fan-fic book set in the Wool universe. I expect first books to be 99¢.

I think some of them will be $1.99, but I agree that more new artists deserve our support. And you'll be rewarded with some great reads. Many of these stories are as good, if not better, than the source material!
I really advise brand new authors to take the 99¢ route for their first book. At 99¢ I (and I suspect many others) will buy instead of sampling and you'll be discovered more quickly (if you're good). Just an opinion of course.
I look forward to WOOL fan fiction. FF adds to the legacy of the original creator of any universe. Like making a TV show from a brilliant movie - its fun and entertaining but can't quite compete with the original. Granted the original author doesn't profit monetarily, but they profit in the loyalty and worship of rabid fans! Priceless!
