Review on The Killer Rabbit Hole :)
"Cristina Cabrisi is, as pointed out in the plot of the episode, a transgressive girl, it can be seen from the first pages of the book and from the small glimpses of her personality with which Cristina delight us during her flights of fancy.
The book opens with a diary page which explains how to Cristina suffer for the lack of what appears to be her boyfriend, Fabrizio.
This suffering is fast undermined at her cousin's home, Flavia, just before the preparations for her birthday party!
Here, in fact, you're taking an important meeting between the girl's father's colleagues and, in particular, a man with magnetic eyes, nicknamed "Ice Eyes", he manages to capture Cristina's attention.
I will not go on because being a episodes series I wouldn't risk to reveal all in a few lines and it do not seem right for the readers and not for the author!
Unfortunately, even though I adore Chiara and her style, this episode I liked least of her works that I could read.
The plot of this first appointment seemed perhaps too obvious and speeded up, some points (especially those pseudo spicy) in fact, were stretched, not rushed. Let me explain, Cristina sees Ice Eyes, they exchange a few words, what happens happens (I'd also have waited to include this situation) and then she already feels emotionally involved?
No... I do not think true!
Another thing that bothered me is the continuous want to reiterate Cristina of its status as dominant woman, accustomed to hunt and tease men, and then work, it did not seem realistic that Ice Eyes, after less than two seconds, and without knowing the person in front of him, offering a job to a perfect stranger!
Apart from these painful notes and a few mistakes here and there safely passable, I must say that the story is captivating.
Beautiful end, a chat really fun, in fact Chiara, I'll offer my congratulations to the closing of the episode, a ploy intelligent and sympathetic; also amazing the way you write, as always fresh and never pedantic.
Very well detailed Cristina's personality and the description of the environments and the various characters, perhaps the only one who still do not have a clear idea is Matt Staton but is right, and I hope Chiara will make him justice in the next episodes!
If I can give you some advice to a reader, you stretch more certain situations without letting them fall through the pages as if they were rained down from the sky!
Ultimately, however, a good start, perhaps the expedient of episodes limits a little Chiara's creativity but I trust in her talent, immense, to give us wonderful situations like the ones I read in "Tasting the Fire."
I'm curious to read the next installment, the end it leaves a unique curiosity!"
