I heard that line on the radio the other day, and it really struck me: the seasons change, and so do I.
Yet so much of life's energies are expended on maintaining the status quo. We don't like change. We like stability, surety. Knowing where our next meal is coming from is a good thing. Other people's expectations are powerful things. There's not a lot of room in the pigeon holes we get pushed into, but it is so much easier to stay in them than to keep busting out.
