As a Gun Owner I Would Like To Say

No five year old needs a 22. For the love of everything, people. Guns are for grown ups. I'll even go so far as to extend grown up status to older teenagers in rural communities who hunt. But if you are too damn young for kindergarten, you are too damn young for a gun.
