“Good luck” or “All the best”?

I am a person who does not believe in luck.

That is why I love wishing “All the best” instead of “Good luck.”

Does it differ? It does, significantly.

“Good luck” implies reliance to luck, good fortune or any other word related to it. But “All the best,” on the other hand, indicates dependence on sheer dedication, “All the best” to the effort one has paid out to win a certain goal.

Hoping for miracles to happen, such as waiting for “luck” to happen is a big mistake and we are not authorized to do so. But if Allah permits such thing to happen, the fact of it occurring is undeniable.

But still, success is by design, not fortuitous. When you want something, work for it instead of waiting for it.

Do your best and Allah will do the rest. But if you do not do the best, I personally don’t think Allah will do the rest.

When you help Allah, Allah will help you. But if Allah fails you in any of your endeavors, that does not mean Allah is not helping you.

“All the best” to whatever you are doing!
