Today I’ve published my second novel, One Night. It’s a more conventional work than Sunliner, being a contemporary romantic thriller in contrast to my first book’s 50s set mash up of genres. The two books do share a similar structure though, with the first half of each flipping back and forth between the past and the present. There are also a number of similar themes and Harry, the villain of One Night, isn’t a million miles away from Sunliner JJ.
One Night gave me some new challenges, most obviously the strong romantic element to the book which was something I hadn’t really attempted before.
As a result I suspect the audience that will most enjoy One Night is a slightly different one than has enjoyed my work to day but hopefully my existing readers will still find it an entertaining read.
