Jennifer Jimmerson They didn't

message 4: by Cammie (new)

Cammie yes they did!!!!

message 5: by Yvette (new)

Yvette Karns I have to say, they did change up some things about the book to the movie. But they were not too far off the beaten path. I was a little disappointed that it was not more action packed but it did stay true to the book. As I said, a little disappoilnted but still a good movie.

Diana I'm going to see it tomorrow, I think. . . I can't wait! :)

message 14: by Dawn (new)

Dawn Saw it, LOVED it!

message 15: by Regina (new)

Regina Saw it, felt that it got dumbed down a bit with way more teen angst and mush then the book ever portrayed. Books are usually better then their movie counterparts, but I'm still glad the movie got made.

message 16: by Diana (new)

Diana I REALLY don't like that Ian isn't portrayed in The Host previews. It's only about Jared and Melanie!!!! What happened to Ian?????

message 17: by Barbara (new)

Barbara I did not like it. Too many changes from the book and I agree, it seemed dumbed down. Was really looking forward to it. Loved the book.

message 18: by Breezy (new)

message 26: by TheStillBlue (last edited Apr 04, 2013 10:03PM) (new)

TheStillBlue The book is still one of my favorites, and always will be :) The movie.. I would watch it again, but there were some corny parts in there.. aside from the romance part's of the movie, it was ok :)

message 27: by Yvette (new)

Yvette Karns I agree Andrea. Would watch the movie again but only when it comes out on DVD.

message 28: by Lorissa (new)

Lorissa I saw the movie twice. The opening and again the next day

message 29: by Tara (new)

Tara I saw the movie yesterday! Pretty good but I preferred the book better, honestly. I felt as if it was too drawn out, and important(well, at least to me) scenes were cut. Ian and Jared were hot though ;) LOL, GO WATCH IT!!!

message 30: by Emily (new)

Emily book is so much better, the movie didn't do it justice at all

message 31: by Kaye S. (new)

Kaye S. Saw it yesterday. I was expecting some severe action but still it was amazing! Gaaaahhh

message 32: by Rita (new)

Rita I read the book, and thought it was, one of the best books I have read i n a long time. What all of want to know is, when are you going to fwriting inish writing, Midnight Sun? Your fans, have been waiting, for a very long time. We really want to read, Edwards, version, and how he felt. Please let us know something about how you feel about, finishing, this book.

message 33: by Rita (new)

Rita Evan wrote: "YUU NIKAIDOU!!!"

What?

message 34: by Diana (new)

Diana I went to go see it on Sunday! It was AWESOME! But the book was better!

message 35: by Rita (new)

Rita Books are always better than the movies. In a book, we can see everything the Author wants us to. In movies, its hard to put all of it in. Not every scene, the author, wrote, anyway. When we read, we visulise, what we are reading, at the time. Try to put all of it, in a movie, it would be more like a soap opera. To long.

message 36: by KelseyKES (last edited Apr 04, 2013 04:49PM) (new)

KelseyKES the trailer looks incredible, especially when radioactive starts in trailer #3! I'm thrilled that saoirse ronan stars as Melanie and Wanda, and Max Irons and Jake Abel are perfect for their roles! to finish this book is putting a hole in myself. <3 losing a best friend...

message 37: by Helen (new)

message 39: by Toni (new)

Toni Great movie! Stayed true to the book. Recently seen Beautiful Creatures and was so disappointed that the movie was nothing like the book, I went into see The Host, and was NOT disappointed! Great read, great story. No overkill on dramatics, believable story.

message 40: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey It was amazing omg.

message 41: by Rita (new)

Rita Most of, Stephenie's work, is amazing. The book, was so action packed, but with feelings. Completely different, from Twilight. Still, it had an, almost, impossible, love storey, like, Twilight.

message 42: by Christina (new)

Christina I loved it!! It was awesome. THe acting was just spectacular. Script was a little weird at times but not many. Awesome job!

message 43: by Rita (new)

Rita I have'nt seen it yet, but, glad to hear that it is good. The book, was amazing. So much action, in it.

message 44: by DJT =] (new)

DJT =] YES!!! Finally!!! i just finished reading it last night at 10:30 so I could watch the movie. =] It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE how it turned out <333333 So happy now

message 45: by Rita (new)

Rita The Host, had everything in it, a great book should have. Its one of my favorites. Have not seen the movie, and don't know if it, can be as good as the book. I hope it is.

message 46: by DJT =] (new)

DJT =] I havent seen the movie either. My last post was on the book :D

message 47: by Rita (new)

Rita Mine as well. It was hard to write a review, on a book that, had everything in it, to keep me reading. It is one of the best, books, I have read in a long time!!! Believe me, thats a lot of books. My shelves are full, unless, I take out my collection of, antique glass ware. The back seat of my car is full of books, to give to our, public Libray. It is hard for me to let go of the books, I have read for some reason.

message 48: by DJT =] (new)

DJT =] lol I agree. It is one of my favorite books and it has everything in it like you said. My favorite part was the ending. What was yours?

message 49: by Rita (new)

Rita Honestly, I could not tell you, what was my favorite part. At first, it was a little slow, but when it, took off, it took me right along with it. I knew, Stephenie, wasn't going to end the book, with just, one of the girls. Both had to live. Strange, it wasn't about, vampires, but Stephenie, really wrote a great book. It would be nice, if she finished, Midnight Sun, before producing another movie, or writing another book. You know the old saying, wish in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which one, fills up the fastest. HA! HA!

message 50: by DJT =] (new)

DJT =] lol =] Yep the beginning was a little slow but then it picked up. I was a little confused at the beginning but then she explained it. I haven't read the twilight saga yet. Is it better than the Host? I've seen the movies though and they are pretty interesting.
