I have to say, they did change up some things about the book to the movie. But they were not too far off the beaten path. I was a little disappointed that it was not more action packed but it did stay true to the book. As I said, a little disappoilnted but still a good movie.
Saw it, felt that it got dumbed down a bit with way more teen angst and mush then the book ever portrayed. Books are usually better then their movie counterparts, but I'm still glad the movie got made.
The book is still one of my favorites, and always will be :) The movie.. I would watch it again, but there were some corny parts in there.. aside from the romance part's of the movie, it was ok :)
I saw the movie yesterday! Pretty good but I preferred the book better, honestly. I felt as if it was too drawn out, and important(well, at least to me) scenes were cut. Ian and Jared were hot though ;) LOL, GO WATCH IT!!!
I read the book, and thought it was, one of the best books I have read i n a long time. What all of want to know is, when are you going to fwriting inish writing, Midnight Sun? Your fans, have been waiting, for a very long time. We really want to read, Edwards, version, and how he felt. Please let us know something about how you feel about, finishing, this book.
Books are always better than the movies. In a book, we can see everything the Author wants us to. In movies, its hard to put all of it in. Not every scene, the author, wrote, anyway. When we read, we visulise, what we are reading, at the time. Try to put all of it, in a movie, it would be more like a soap opera. To long.
the trailer looks incredible, especially when radioactive starts in trailer #3! I'm thrilled that saoirse ronan stars as Melanie and Wanda, and Max Irons and Jake Abel are perfect for their roles! to finish this book is putting a hole in myself. <3 losing a best friend...
Great movie! Stayed true to the book. Recently seen Beautiful Creatures and was so disappointed that the movie was nothing like the book, I went into see The Host, and was NOT disappointed! Great read, great story. No overkill on dramatics, believable story.
Most of, Stephenie's work, is amazing. The book, was so action packed, but with feelings. Completely different, from Twilight. Still, it had an, almost, impossible, love storey, like, Twilight.
YES!!! Finally!!! i just finished reading it last night at 10:30 so I could watch the movie. =] It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE how it turned out <333333 So happy now
The Host, had everything in it, a great book should have. Its one of my favorites. Have not seen the movie, and don't know if it, can be as good as the book. I hope it is.
Mine as well. It was hard to write a review, on a book that, had everything in it, to keep me reading. It is one of the best, books, I have read in a long time!!! Believe me, thats a lot of books. My shelves are full, unless, I take out my collection of, antique glass ware. The back seat of my car is full of books, to give to our, public Libray. It is hard for me to let go of the books, I have read for some reason.
Honestly, I could not tell you, what was my favorite part. At first, it was a little slow, but when it, took off, it took me right along with it. I knew, Stephenie, wasn't going to end the book, with just, one of the girls. Both had to live. Strange, it wasn't about, vampires, but Stephenie, really wrote a great book. It would be nice, if she finished, Midnight Sun, before producing another movie, or writing another book. You know the old saying, wish in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which one, fills up the fastest. HA! HA!
lol =] Yep the beginning was a little slow but then it picked up. I was a little confused at the beginning but then she explained it. I haven't read the twilight saga yet. Is it better than the Host? I've seen the movies though and they are pretty interesting.
