A fool

I was quiet the rest of the way to San Jose, contemplating seeing
Mathew again. I’d called him out of loneliness, knowing it would be only the one
night. I watched the landscape whiz by and could feel my excitement mixed with
a big dose of remorse. Knowing that seeing him would only stir up the feelings
I was trying to move past. I believed that in Ryan’s mind I was being a fool.
