Why My Lazy @$$ Needs It To Be Summer

I hate exercise. No, no, no, I don’t mean all exercise. I mean the kind that starts with a video tape and ends with me sweating my ass off in my living room and wearing out my carpet. Carpet is not cheap. Also, there’s something to be said for the outdoors, and exercising outside — fresh air, cool breeze, sidewalks and grass that I won’t have to spend a fortune to replace every couple of years…

Well, hello beautiful! Of course I would love to come visit, maybe permanently!

I hate winter. *heavy sigh* There, I feel so much better saying it out loud! Though I’m pretty sure I’ve been telling everyone who will listen just how much I detest winter. Winter makes me LAZY. I hate being cold, and when I’m cold, I’m moody. And all I want to do is hibernate. Probably has something to do with my Asian ancestry or something. This tan skin was made to be kissed by the sun daily! During the winter, getting up to press “Play” on the workout video is akin to slaming my head against the wall. Maybe it’s because it’s the only option to stay in shape over the winter. I hate not having options. I’m just that kind of person. When the weather warms up, it means gardening, and running aroudn in the yard with the kids. It means fresh air and sunshine and shorts. It means me, barefoot on the sandbars at my parents’ place on the river, Tin Man Airboats. It means FREEDOM!!!

So what is the point of this post, you ask??? I’ve decided I want to relocate. And yes, it’s just a dream right now. That’s what happens when you become a home owner — you have to stick it out until you’ve got some equity built up to make the sale worth the investment. (ugh, that sounds so responsible!) In my next life, I am going to be a gypsy. For now, I am going to troll the Internet and find my dream location. There are many, many places I’d love to live, except most of those have cold winters, too. I’m telling you, I need someplace warm all year round! My first thought is tropical. Yeah. That sounds lovely. See the pretty picture?

Anyway, today is supposed to be close to 70 degrees. Pretty good for March in Nebraska! I’m going to enjoy it. Hopefully, this means spring is here so I can quit going crazy :)

If you could go anywhere during the cold winter, where would you go???
