Vincent says to let him know when there is a Rob/Grey Wind plushie (as in, you know...) and a headless Ned plushie...

Think of all the money George Lucas made on the merchandise alone. Get it out there! Make it more popular! The more fans, the less likely GRRM will be able to stretch out writing the last two books. (Not knocking GRRM! I’ve been there with him since nearly the beginning and I believe his heart is still “pure” about his series. I know what enormous pressure he must be feeling already. Just I—like countless others—wish for a resolution before my retirement! ’S all I’m sayin’.)

Don't give him another excuse to spend less time writing...!
Susie wrote: Don’t give him another excuse to spend less time writing...!Well, let’s be fair. He isn’t personally merchandising any of this, and though I’m sure they let him look at designs, he probably didn’t have much input. It’s not as though he’s processing credit cards and packaging orders.
I’m just happy that he’s finally making bags of money on his opus magnum and that merchandising means there’s enough interest in his work to see it through to the end. With so many more people invested in the TV series, he really is under a lot more pressure not only to get it finished inside 8 years but to have to satisfy right to the end.
