I’ve already reported this on Facebook and Twitter, but if you’re not following me there (and if not, why not?), then I’m sad to report that Wendell, my rat terrier, faithful companion of 16 years and the inspiration for Nifkin in GOOD IN BED (that’s him on the back cover) and CERTAIN GIRLS, passed away on Monday.

My heart goes out to you, I know how hard the loss of a pet can be. I have 3 dogs who I never refer to as my pets, but always as my children.
Oh, Jennifer, I am so sorry to hear about Wendell! Even though it was his time, I know its hard. 
So sorry to hear about Wendell. 
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are certainly with you.
Sorry to hear about Wendell.My 6-year-old wonders why our cat (passed away last year) hasn't come to visit her as a ghost. Boy, that's a hard one to explain. We all still miss him. The zanier they are, the bigger hole they leave.
