Promotions Dressed to the Nines--an Idea
I've been thinking about future promotions for my books while trucking away on Armed and Dangerous, and just thought of an idea.
My books have now been added by the better half of 1,000 people! (Which I am IMMENSELY grateful for!) And I was like, gosh, can you imagine if little old me got added a thousand times? Even nine-hundred and ninety-nine times?
And that cinched it. I had my idea!
If my books are added 999 times (this includes the to-read shelf in addition to currently-reading and read), I will set ALL MY CURRENTLY AVAILABLE WORKS to 99-cents for one whole day. And maybe post a teaser from one of my WIPs of your choice--for free--in this here blog of mine.
I wanted to have something that would benefit everyone in some way, and not preclude people who have already bought my book(s) (which, you know, makes you all the more awesome and lovely and OMG). I think this does the trick nicely, or at least I hope it does!
What do you guys think? Is that a good way to say 'thank you'? :)

Haha. No, unfortunately not. 99-cents is as cheap as I can make them. BUT--I do have promotions when I publish a new book in a series, and I'll probably do one on my and my cover designer's birthdays. ♥
Woah, what are you at? Did I miss this? Seriously, if you haven't already done it, let me know when you do. I've been talking with one of my local bookstores, and they've agreed to put some of your books on the shelves if I can bring copies. It's a small shop, but a lot of the women in my city use it obsessively, so it'd be good exposure. I also want to get another set so I can donate them to my library. People really go for the "just in" shelves, so it'd be good for you. Let me know, please.
I haven't reached 999 yet, but SOON hopefully! FYI: Only my eBooks are going to be 99-cents. I can't tweak the costs of the hard copies because of the production costs or else I TOTALLY would because you guys deserve it.Oh my goshhhhhh. You are something else, Venus. Wow. Actually, I do. Isn't part promoting you part of the fan club president's job? Probably have to wait until my next pay check, but I'm working on it.
...I don't know what that meant. Was that some sort of super smart acronym? Spy code? A secret message telling me that, yes, you've finished the sequel? Of course that's what it meant. Silly me.
Nope. I still have a pulse, so the nagging won't be ending any time soon....and I just noticed that my review of Fearscape STILL isn't there. Grrr....I'm going to go try again.
