I can't say I'm not thoroughly disappointed....have been waiting for this story continue. And I'm sure the product you were ready to publish would have been great, but if its out of your hands......it just blows having to wait sooooooooooo long!!!

The only things when things are pushed so far back like that is people forget the previous story and no longer think about the follow up to that book. It stinks that it is such a long wait.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait....but sad that the publisher takes control away from the writer. I'm sure in the end it's worth it to the writer but hard to swallow the loss of having total 'say' over a publication date. This has happened to several books I've read in the past 4 months and the sequels are being delayed by publishers. On top of that....the price increases. This is the flip-side for us readers when we promote writers.....in the end we have to wait longer and pay more. Sad but true and the good part is what being 'picked-up' by a publishing house does for the writer. I'll put this sequel on my calendar in hopes it does come out in August 2013. It'll be a good excuse to read the first book again, as well.

Why do we have to pay on Amazon to get the updated book? Is that a Harlequin decision? If that's the case then I'll just wait and get both books and leave the kindle alone.

 Jeni,
Jeni,I just reread my post above, and it is very drawn out and long and confusing, so I apologize for that. :(
In June, Harlequin will offer Blindfolded Innocence in print form, and also a new, improved ebook version, like an extended version (which will be identical to the print version). You don't need to buy this version if you have already read BI, nothing is added that will affect the sequel/story progression. BUT, if you really want the extended version (or to have the book in print version), you are free to buy it. The version that Harlequin has on Amazon right now is not any different from one you would have bought in the past except that it has less grammatical or formatting errors.
A month or two after the print/ebook release of BI, Harlequin will release the ebook version of the sequel. The print version of the sequel takes more time, and will probably come out in December, unless they can get things done sooner than that.
Does that make sense? I still feel like my wording is confusing, but I've learned communication isn't my strong point. :(
I really appreciate your support, thank you so much for being so great. <3
