27 DAYS OF GIVING THANKS: LIFE
http://www.stockfreeimages.com/Just being blessed with the gift of life is amazing in and of itself. Each and every day that I open my eyes to another day, no matter what looms ahead or challenges are waiting to be managed, I thank and praise God for opening my eyes and blessing me with breath, life, health and strength. Of course that list goes on and on...but my focus today is on life. Sometimes we face so many challenges we forget to take time to think about what we are thankful for. My husband and I have faced several obstacles this year, but writing these blog posts has allowed me to keep my head up with a positive attitude as I recall the blessings I have in this life...so many.
My husband provides me with sage wisdom in times when I feel weak "Chelle, believe in who you say you believe in." My mother-in-law once said, "If you were homeless and eating out the garbage can, it doesn't matter because as long as you wake up to see another day it's a blessing. You have the opportunity to make it better than the day before." Every day of life that we are given is a blessing. It gives us the opportunity to change our mindset, make a difference in the life of someone else, and continue to have hope.
Throughout this life of mine I have met some beautiful people that have left their imprints in my life and heart. In this life I have met some people that did not have my best interests at heart, but because of them I am stronger and better. I have made many mistakes and had many failings, but I am not a failure. And just as surely as those failings and mistakes occurred, I have enjoyed many great successes. I have been blessed to be a blessing to others and received the greatest gift...that of being able to give life to someone else (three times). I have been surrounded by love, friendship, wisdom, and protection in this life. I have been blessed with many gifts and abilities in this life. And I have had the honor of using those gifts and abilities to assist others and point the way to my savior. I am thankful for the gift of life, because after all we're not promised the next second.
Please leave a comment in the comment section and let me know how you've been blessed in life or been a blessing to someone else's life.
