Hello again, my beautiful fans. It's me again, CJ Roberts.
In case you weren't aware, it's my birthday today. I always get down on my birthday - usually because another year has gone by and I'm still wondering what the hell I'm going to do with myself. But not this year. This year? I'm fan-fucking-tastic (even if I'm 26 for the 7th year in a row)!
I'm not going to write you another mushy thank you letter where I tell how you've changed my life and made it more than I ever thought possible because then I'd get emotional and you know I hate that. Suffice to say, I love all of you sick fuck's.
Instead, I'm going to get the BIG stuff out of the way and then regale you with an epic recap of this past year. So... what's the big news? Well, YOU LIKE ME, YOU REALLY LIKE ME!
I am thrilled to announce that Seduced in the Dark has made it into the semi-finals for BEST ROMANCE 2012!!! Wow! Seriously.
I was gobsmacked. For starters, I wasn't on the list for votes - I was a write-in. Second, there was no erotica category and I never imagined I could compete in the romance category. Finally, you couldn't even write me in for the first two weeks due to a glitch in the system. So basically, MY FANS, THE BEST FANS EVER, waited for the problem to be fixed and then wrote me into the ballot!
I was like:
So what now? Well, I've got some steep competition. But just being nominated is HUGE and I want to say:
And also: PLEASE GET OUT THERE AND VOTE! I mean...Please, get out there and vote. LOL!

Thank you all so much! I can't wait to see how this whole thing shakes out tomorrow, but either way - I am so honored and humbled to have been chosen by all of you. My name is in the running with some amazing talent and anytime you can say that - it's a good thing. :)
Not sure where to write this, but your writing is off the chain. Off. The. Fuc*ing. Chain. So much so that I've spent the last two weeks re-reading passages from the Dark Duet. It's quite possible you've ruined me for other books in this genre - although, there's really nothing comparable to what you've done. Anyway, you inspire me to try to make the kind of emotional connection you make in your writing in my own. And then I went back and read some of your blog posts and how you've fought so hard for what you've done and I'm all like "you go, girl." Thanks for the best reading I've done in 2012 - my mind has been changed forever by it.
