Whats some of your favorite music/bands? Do you have any Shadow and Bone playlists? And lastly, did Captain Automatic ever write/record any Shadow and Bone inspired songs? Sorry to bug you, just in a Shadow and Bone-ish mood. :)

I like that mood!

I’m very fickle about music. Right now, Belle Brigade, Generationals, Florence + the Machine, and Bass Nectar are all on heavy rotation.

I did two posts with Shadow and Bone playlists. This one has lyrics and I talk a bit about what each song meant to me.

This one has a few additional songs for the Darkling, Alina, and Mal. 

I’ve had readers introduce me to songs that they felt fit the characters (Gravity, Mountain Sound, Wide Awake, Already Over), and I loooove seeing the character fan mixes. I’ve downloaded tons of the music readers have suggested and they’re all on my Grisha walk-around-and-think-about-the-story playlists.

I do have a new song that my friend Aaron and I have been working on. I feel a little shy about putting it out there, but I think I’ll get around to it one of these days :)
