All in the name of research

When I was young, my father, a once-history teacher, would drag us all over the continental U.S. showing us historical sites. As a kid, I detested it. Well, that’s not fair. I would grouse, but once there was kind of into it.

Fast forward. Well, I now write about history, and nothing makes a story more real to me, and I’m guessing to readers, than actually visiting the area you will write about.
