Dogs are not garbage disposals

Some dog owners think their pets are the garbage disposal. Feeding your dog leftovers because you don’t want to waste "good" food is potentially a health risk. Some leftover foods could be moldy or spoiled. Molds and bacteria go hand in hand. If your dog is a small breed, they may not be able to fight off infections caused by these bacteria. Indigestion, diarrhea and vomiting can occur. Chronic diarrhea can indicate secondary infections, if untreated, these infections can cause death.
