August 17th and 18th events
At 2:00pm August 17th I got a meeting with the execs. of the Tractor Supply store in Franklin TN. and try to work up a deal to get the Canine Culinary Creations Cookbook series selling at all their stores, then i will have to hurry and get to the other side of Nashville for the next part of my day.
At 4:00pm August 17th EmmyLou Harris and Jaime Dudney (TENNESSEE MISS TEEN USA 1993, stared in As the World Turns, Days Of Our Lives, Diagnosis Murder and Get to the Heart:The Barbara Mandrell Story and she is also Barbara Mandrell's Real Daughter) is having their first annual Woofstock at the Fontanel Mansion (Barbara Mandrell's former mansion) in Nashville TN. on August 17th and 18th. To start it off, EmmyLou is having a high price fund raising dinner ($175.00) per person and 1 dog each. The Cafe La fontanel restaurant at the mansion will be serving the human guest, and EmmyLou has asked me to be the Canine Cuisine chef for the event and feed the K9's. EmmyLou will be performing and I cant wait to see her singing. I will have a booth setup with my cookbooks and a few dog treats for sale, portions of my sales will go to the Emmy fund.
The next event will be August 18th at the official Woofstock event at the Fontanel Mansion on the fields of the mansion in Nashville TN. This event is sponsored by EmmyLou Harris and is a fund raiser for her dog retreat. The event starts at 10:00am till 4:00pm Their will be vendors, food, K9 police demo's, pet adoption groups from around the Nashville and surrounding areas. Their will also be 7 bands performing at the event. I will also have a booth set up with my cookbooks and all my dog treats for sale, so come by and visit with me and my beautiful wife Kim.
One last note. If you would like to stay, the Steve Miller band will be playing at the Amphitheater at the Fontanel mansion later that night.

Dogs are not garbage disposals
Some dog owners think their pets are the garbage disposal. Feeding your dog leftovers because you don’t want to waste "good" food is potentially a health risk. Some leftover foods could be moldy or spoiled. Molds and bacteria go hand in hand. If your dog is a small breed, they may not be able to fight off infections caused by these bacteria. Indigestion, diarrhea and vomiting can occur. Chronic diarrhea can indicate secondary infections, if untreated, these infections can cause death.

Don't you hate waiting in long lines ?

Diamond Pet Food recall
Dry dog food manufactured in Diamond Pet Foods' Gaston, South Carolina production plant has been linked to at least 14 cases of Salmonella Infantis infections in 9 states, according to a May 3, 2012 report from CDC. Confirmed outbreak cases have been documented in Alabama (1), Connecticut (1), Michigan (1), Missouri (3), North Carolina (3), New Jersey (1), Ohio (2), Pennsylvania (1), and Virginia (1). Five people were hospitalized.
Diamond Pet Foods
has recalled nine brands of dry pet food formulas that were manufactured in Gaston. All batches manufactured between December 9, 2011 and April 7, 2012 are affected.
