Emotion!

I love... LOVE all the reviews and comments from CONSEQUENCES readers. I truly try to read every one of them! What amazes and thrills me is the depth of emotion people feel for my characters. Claire Nichols and Tony Rawlings came to life in my head and screamed to get out! I love them both in so different ways!

Writing CONSEQUENCES I wanted more than anything to portray Claire as a strong individual in unbelievable horrific circumstances. It's easy to sit back in our bed or on our couch and read about her awful life and say "get out...leave" tell me, where would she go? Where could she go that Anthony's wealth and influence couldn't find her?
I don't want to give too much away... but I do want to say, I NEVER intended for her to appear weak. She stands up to him in her own way... in a way, few, if any, others do or can...

However, it thrills me to read that someone is so upset with her decisions they want to throw their book or Kindle across the room (please don't). That is an amazing compliment... my characters evoke emotion. One reader called CONSEQUENCES an Emotional Thriller! Another and Emotional Roller coaster! That is wonderful... LOVE Anthony Rawlings - or - hate Anthony Rawlings... the fact you have internalized him and Claire are enough for me. But then again, I know the TRUTH. ;)
In a very short time you can too. I believe CONSEQUENCES is a puzzle... it is up to the reader to "put it together"... TRUTH is a game and it's coming together... CONVICTED (due out in late 13 or early 14) will ... (guess we need to wait to find out!) Thank you for your strong emotions! Please keep spreading the word! We want everyone ready for the TRUTH!

Melanie I purchased the book from Smashwords, on Sunday, finished the book by Monday evening. I have been dreaming about Claire and Anthony. Claire was not weak, she survived and that was her #1 priority. I can't wait to read "TRUTH".

Aleatha Romig Thank you Didi and Melanie! I LOVE evoking emotion... and I don't think you can be much more emotionally attached than to dream about Tony and Claire. I know the feeling! Thanks!

Kirsten P I never thought Claire was weak. She was so strong throughout. She seemed to even the playing field at times with him. Tony really grew on me and I was so looking for a HEA for them.

Patti What a great book! Claire was strong to endure all she went through. I finished the book and cant stop thinking about it! I was totally surprised by the end. Looking forward to the second book.

i am only half way throuhj this book and it has already got to me. my sister and i are reading it in tandem but she is a quicker reader than i.
she has my kindle as i have a lot of books to read with so little time, so i had hers. she text to say she was enjoying it so much that i should down load it onto hers and wow! so glad people who are reviewing are not giving the ending away. but the other titles are making me nervous lol.

K.S. Adkins First, I recommended this to the followers of my book club and I finished this book in one day. Yes one, I couldn't put it down! Thank goodness I make my own hours! Talk about an emotional day! I won't go into detail about my feelings on it, but I had hoped Tony would come around and just when I thought he had....Bam! Attempted murder! No wonder he wasn't worried about a pre nup. A-hole! Any who, I'm hoping this is a "double jeopardy" situation but my heads is spinning with ideas so I shall leave it in your capable hands!
