Soooo bad

I read an ebook horror novel so bad this past weekend that a) I can't believe I finished it and b) I'm shying away from reading anything on my Kindle right now.

If this is what some folks are epublishing, it's really sad for good writers working to break through. I'm not publishing a review because I'm not out to harm anyone's reputation, and these days it's likely to spawn revenge ratings and reviews and so forth.

Kindle publishing should have a "word to the wise" posted prominently:
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

All of which is not to say I haven't read some excellent indie writing on my Kindle. But this thing was soooo bad ...

Katy I know whatcha mean... Unfortunately, a lot of Indie writers don't realize they really need an outside eye to edit their work, or if they do, they think it'll be too expensive, but there are plenty of editors out there, like me, who have reasonable rates and are willing to help.

Just sent you a message. Fortunately, I'm married to an English teacher and have been writing professionally for more than 3 decades. I'd love to have you review my writing.

Thanks for responding. Hope to hear more from you.
Best regards,

Uke Jackson ps. If you'd like me to put people in touch with you when they are looking for help/editing, it would be my pleasure.

Thanks, Uke - at this point in time, my schedule is quite full for the next three months, so right at the moment I'm doing okay. Maybe once the current flood becomes a trickle I might need to go hunting for more work, in which case I'll be sure to let you know. As it is, if folks can't wait a bit for the editing job, I've had to send them on to someone else.

I'll be answering your PM in a moment
