Getting the Call

Still trying to work on my introduction, but I have had two phone calls - one to get some more head-shots done (I might replace my profile picture from those)and one to call me to a casting - Jolly good. Now the Introduction...
Does anyone read author's introductions, and, supposing they do, what sort of information do they like to see?

Ciaran Mealer I usually do. It depends on what you are writing, is this for the short story introduction?

Tina Rath It's an introduction to a collection - I'll be giving full details of it when everything's firmed up... I thought a little biography of my reading and writing background and a mention of a couple of the stories would be enough.

Ciaran Mealer Sounds good to me. If people don't want to read it they won't, but it will be a nice tidbit for those who like that sort of thing.
