New in ebook: Many Genres, One Craft

Many Genres ebook on Kindle and NookA quick update to note that the massive fiction writing guide that I co-edited last year, Many Genres, One Craft: Lessons in Writing Popular Fiction, is now available in an affordable ebook form for the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes and Noble Nook.

You can learn more about this title, read an excerpt, and even order a copy from the new book page I’ve added to the jazzy new Books and Other Creative Works catalog here on gorelets.com.

Many Genres has not only swept up an astounding number of industry awards, it also is getting rave reviews from writers who have turned to the book for guidance in navigating their new novels. See the awesome array of customer reviews on amazon.com for the hardcover edition, and I think you’ll see why I am so proud of this book and its many amazing contributors.

Michelle Renee Lane I like carrying around the big heavy book, but congrats on the ebook version. While I enjoy the convenience of having a library stored in the Cloud, there's something about a heavy textbook that makes me feel smarter somehow. It makes me believe that I am in possession of knowledge that may actually make me a better writer. A grimoire of sage advice from published authors who have been working their own spells long enough to be able to teach me some new tricks.

Michael To be honest, I prefer the big heavy book, too! It feels a lot more solid, and I think it's actually a little easier to page through and sample from at will. Headline Books did an outstanding job on the fancy hardcover...it's quite a "grimoire" of spells indeed (love that description!). But I'm glad that there's an ebook for those who prefer that...they just won't know what they're missing out on. Good reminder, Michelle -- thank you.
