Poverty in India - The Way Forward

Poverty in India has much to do with corruption in government, as evidenced on the global corruption index.

Public health must be the number one priority to lessen poverty in India. After all it is hard to work if you are ill physically, don't have clean water to drink, nor proper sanitation for your family.

Some believe India may be struggling with poverty also because of its religion, which sees cows as gods and therefore allows a bit of chaos and disorderliness in society (as they walk across the street).

Others think instability is caused by worshipping numerous dieties and being beyond double-minded therefore in one's foundational and national identity.

These 3 facets: corruption, public health and spirituality are worthy of further discussion in regard to poverty in India.

Beyond poverty in India, I want to celebrate what India is rich in - wonderful people, intelligent professionals, skilled labor, witty humor, marvelous entertainment, delicious food, enchanting culture, charming beauty queens, and so much more!

I personally have lived and traveled throughout India. I deeply love and respect India and its people.

Although I survived a train crash while in India, I would gladly return and live there again. The people, culture, food and heart of the Indian people is amazing!
