November into December (Contest)

November

Work-related:

I completed three sets of edits for other authors.I’ve been working with Burn: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology on loglines and getting some administrivia out of the way. I wanted to begin edits, but I am admittedly working too slow!

Health-related:

I discontinued my immunotherapy and the hormone-blocker my doctor hoped would halt the progression of my disease. My cancer marker tests show that despite the immunotherapy, my cancer is resurging. I underwent a PET scan and will review the results with the doctor tomorrow. More news to come, I’m sure.

Happiness-related:

Despite the dire news about my cancer’s likely reappearance, I feel fine. The occasional aches and pains aren’t “troublesome” and entirely manageable with pain meds and my insomnia medicine. This month, I attended the annual potluck dinner at my art guild. It was lovely to share a meal with friends. The girls and I went to the movies to see Wicked: For Good. I sat crying for the second part of the movie. Big softie here. We all loved the experience and afterward headed to Red Lobster for a meal. Perfect day.I created some art this month! Not much, mind you. Here are a few pieces.

December

 Ignition

For work-related, I plan:

(This is a repeat!) To work with the authors whose stories will appear in Burn  to edit their stories. I’ll work on the cover art and get a pre-order ready for readers to reserve their copies. I’ll also work on my short story, which will be included in the collection. To write some pages. I’m not even putting out there that I’ll finish the dang book, but I will attempt to add pages to Ignition !To work on edits for one author.

For health-related, I plan:

To meet with my oncologist to review the PET Scan results and see where my cancer is emerging now.To begin a new, targeted chemotherapy called ENHERTU. The plan is that I’ll stay on chemotherapy until July of next year if my blood tests show that the cancer is being batted down.To continue to focus on the things I can control to help myself feel better! I’ll rest when I need to and get in some more light exercise.

For happiness-related, I plan:

To enjoy all the holiday events my dd has lined up for the family. We have little parties or gift-giving things going on throughout the month of December. To create more art.To enjoy Christmas day with my family! I have only one gift left to buy!Contest
