To Post or Not to Post?

I conducted a very informal poll on Instagram recently and learned I am not alone in avoiding posting to my writer’s blog. A further question showed I’m also not alone in avoiding posting specifically because many publications consider posting to your blog a form of publication, severely limiting where you can submit your work if you’ve posted it on your blog.
