Counting Down

I use and love the Countdown app on my iPhone so I can see various deadlines that are rushing toward me, usually much too fast. It’s helpful to open the app to see what is coming next.

Of course, some deadlines are fun and we can’t wait for them. That is true for me for what is at the top of my Countdown list, the release of To Reveal a Reckless Love (November 1st).

It feels like I’ve been waiting for this release for ages. Of course, this novel was one of the original three stories in the series that I proposed 15 years ago. So in that sense, it has been a long wait.

I always knew I wanted to write about the beauties of Yellowstone and Idaho through the eyes of Roger Bernhardt, a gifted artist. I also knew that wouldn’t be easy. Although I received my first set of oil paints at the age of 12, and I have “played” with acrylics and watercolors on canvas through the years, I am not gifted in that respect. But I wanted very much to bring Roger’s view of the world to life through my writing. My early readers are claiming I’ve done so, which makes me oh-so-very happy.

I can’t wait to share Roger’s and Victoria’s story with readers.

To help celebrate, I’m giving away a copy of To Reveal a Reckless Love to one lucky winner who leaves a comment on this blog post. If you are in the US, I’ll send an autographed paperback. If you are outside of the US, I will send you a link to download a digital copy (ePub, for any ebook reader). I’ll announce the winner with an update to this post on Monday, October 20th.

And if you’d like, you can preorder your Kindle copy now. The Amazon paperback will be available to order soon. The paperback can be preordered from B&N now.

Gwen What fictional character has helped me see the world through a new lens? Every one of them! It's why I read and why I work as a high school librarian.
