“Richard, it may be nothing, but there was a second alert from the stasis pods and we didn’t have visual logs until just now.” Robert hoped he was wrong, that he was overreacting after their experience on the planet.

“Is there a reason for the malfunctions?” Richard asked.

The computer answered, “I am unable to explain what occurred, Captains. It wasn’t a power surge or stoppage I can detect. Perhaps there’s hidden damage from before?”

“The asteroid storm,” Robert said, remembered the bumps they took. Everything checked out, but something might’ve gotten loose.

“Want me to check on it, Robert?”
