Cast Share Video / First US Dates In 29 Years Begin This Weekend w/ Oasis + w/ BJM in NY and Philadelphia

Cast are having a spectacular summer. Not only have they been getting the party started throughout Oasis’ mammoth stadium tour, but their recent single ‘Poison Vine’ (featuring the legendary P.P. Arnold) has been one of the biggest UK airplay hits of their entire career. The band teamed up with P.P. Arnold again for the second single, ‘Way It’s Gotta Be (Oh Yeah)’, and now share a new video, featuring live footage from their recent run of dates with Oasis in the UK and Ireland. Winning big reactions at every show, with reviews hailing them as “excellent” (Manchester Evening News), “superb” (Liverpool Echo) and “infectious stuff from an infectious band” (Louder Than War), the band will be playing their first US dates in nearly 30 years beginning this weekend, which include shows with Oasis in New Jersey (August 31st and September 1st) and Los Angeles (September 6th and 7th), their own headline show at New York’s Sony Hall on September 3rd, and a couple of dates as guests to The Brian Jonestown Massacre on September 9th (New York) and 10th (Philadelphia). WATCH VIDEO FOR 'WAY IT'S GOTTA BE (OH YEAH)' In recent interviews with SPIN and Vulture, front man John Power talks about the euphoria of the tour, and Cast's plans for the future, which include a new album, ' Yeah Yeah Yeah ', coming January 30th via Scruff Of The Neck. It will be the follow-up to 2024’s acclaimed ‘Love Is The Call’, which achieved their highest album chart position in almost 25 years. The band - completed by Liam ‘Skin’ Tyson (guitar) and Keith O’Neill (drums) - recorded the album with renowned producer, Youth (The Verve, Pink Floyd, Primal Scream), at his Space Mountain studio. 'Way It’s Gotta Be (Oh Yeah)’ is the sound of Cast reborn, with the same fire they had when they started out in the 90's with a succession of UK hits. It’s a soul-rock anthem that’s amplified by a muscular guitar riff, and supported by a strutting groove which maximalises its fun factor. As with ‘Poison Vine’, P.P. Arnold elevates the song to another level, her soulful majesty providing a counterpoint to John Power's warm, inimitable vocal - and her adlibs bring a touch of ‘Gimme Shelter’-style class, too. John Power says, “You’re told all your life this is the way it’s gotta be, when deep inside you know that’s just not true. You’re fed a narrative all your life that tells you how to feel about things that just don’t feel like you. The Way it’s Gotta Be (Oh Yeah) is a psychedelic funk song about walking your true walk and speaking your true talk.” The pre-order campaign for ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ got off to a flying start when a striking mouthwash effect liquid-filled 12" vinyl quickly sold-out its entire limited edition run. The album is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE, with physical products including a cornetto-coloured vinyl, black vinyl, CD and cassette.
