“‘Heavy Pulp’ is bursting with detail: you can dip in at any point and it'll be seconds until you're greeted with a catchy hook. If the album mimics any hormone, Serotonin is the one…”

“Excitingly, this is just the beginning for your favorite new playlist additions, as these bangers will all appear on Heavy Pulp…”

“The Technicolors must be heard to be believed…”

For those who prefer their juice with Heavy Pulp, rock band The Technicolors today release one more single, “Alpha Alpha Alpha,” ahead of their new album. Arriving on August 29 via SoundOn, Heavy Pulp is the type of album that doesn't cut one single corner. A band forged by a decade and a half out on the road with various projects, The Technicolors took their time putting together a sonically massive album, that drips with the confidence of knowing exactly who they are — Pre-save

“Alpha Alpha Alpha” is a shot of adrenaline that takes a jab at the narcissistic. It’s calculated, yet frantic, and propelled forward by a raunchy, muddled guitar tone. With the album just two weeks away, every knob on the board is dialed all the way up — Stream

Guitarist Sean Silverman said, “‘Alpha Alpha Alpha’ was born after a late night in Nashville. Brennan and I stumbled onto this wild, urgent riff — relentless, fast, and unhinged — that we couldn’t put down. We started building a little character around it, leaning into the theme of machismo or the genuine lack there of and letting that energy drive the song. It became one of those raw bursts of inspiration that helped jump-start the writing process after we’d been sitting with some of the earlier ideas. It's one of my favorites off of the new record.”

So far from the album, the band has released “Posh Spice,” “Softcore,” “Gold Fang” and “First Class to Nowhere” featuring Madison Cunningham. Each song in a different universe from the last, The Technicolors are leaving fans to guess what the entire LP will sound like. Heavy Pulp could not have taken shape without the production talent of GRAMMY-nominated Robert Adam Stevenson (Queens of the Stone Age, The Kills) and BRONCHO’s Nathan Price on drums. The Technicolors’ Brennan Smiley is currently out on the road playing guitar in BRONCHO on their Natural Pleasure Tour and Sean Silverman is on a world tour with his other band Beach Weather.

Along with the release of Heavy Pulp, The Technicolors will play a string of album release shows in Los Angeles, their hometown of Phoenix, and New York City. Each show will be supported by Jo Alice. Tickets for all three shows are available here.
