Taylor Swift Makes Telling Move After Album Announcement

On early Tuesday morning at 12:12 a.m., Taylor Swift officially announced her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album. In the moments that followed the announcement, Taylor made a rather mysterious move.

Early Tuesday morning, mysterious billboards popped up in both New York City and Nashville after the announcement that led to a new Spotify playlist created by Taylor Swift.

The playlist, which was originally created two weeks ago and went public shortly after Swift's album announcement, was called "And, baby, that's show business for you."

The photo for the playlist included a sparkly mint green background with an orange "T.S." on top, with the periods replaced with stars.

The playlist included 22 Taylor Swift songs from various previous albums.

Here is the list of songs on the playlist:

It's worth noting, as Pop Base pointed out in a post on X, that all of the songs in this playlist were produced by iconic Swedish record producer and songwriter Max Martin, who has not worked with Taylor Swift since she released her Reputation album back in 2017.

This is a pretty telling move as it suggests that the upcoming album will be produced by Martin, giving a hint about how it could sound.

Martin has become iconic for the pop albums he has helped write and produce, working with artists like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Pink, Katy Perry, Usher, Kesha, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, and more.

It will certainly be interesting to hear what Swift's album ultimately sounds like, but it seems likely it will be a pop-heavy album based on Martin's previous work.
