IHOP Reveals Lush New Menu Item Worth $100—And It’s Topped with Literal Gold
International House of Pancakes, iconically known as IHOP, is known for their classic short stacks. While that’s the most popular item on the menu, their unique mix-ins, fillings and toppings are also a hit with customers. The latest item to hit their menu is really making waves, though.
This month, IHOP is launching a stack of pancakes in line with the Dubai chocolate craze that’s been hitting restaurant menus, supermarket shelves and recipe websites across the world. That means you can find the classic flavors and textures of Dubai chocolate, like pistachio and crispy shredded phyllo dough (kataifi) - twisted and tangled into these flapjacks.

According to IHOP’s announcement, the Luxe Dubai Chocolate Pancakes feature their Dubai chocolate buttermilk pancakes topped with Madagascar vanilla whipped cream, an entire Dubai chocolate bar, edible 24-karat gold flakes and gold glitter. And not surprisingly, each stack is worth $130, yet the first 25 people who arrive at participating locations in Los Angeles, California, New York, New York and Austin, Texas will get this stack for free.

After that, restaurant goers can order the Original Dubai Chocolate Pancakes. This $13 platter showcases toasted kataifi, silky smooth pistachio cream and rich hazelnut spread layered between their world-famous buttermilk pancakes, all topped with chocolate curls and crushed pistachios, per IHOP. And they’ll be available until supplies last.
If you’re into the craze, drop by one of the participating locations starting at 12pm on August 4. For now, you can follow the drop countdown on IHOP’s website.
