New York City-based band Native Sun today have announced that their new album Concrete Language will be released on September 19th via TODO. They've also shared raucous new single "No" and have announced a North American tour supporting Bass Drum of Death, which includes dates at NYC's Baby's All Right (10/4) and Washington, D.C's DC9 (10/8). "No" is accompanied by a Justin Barry and Conor Cunningham-directed video and follows previous singles "Squash" and "I Need Nothing," which earned support from Rolling StoneFLOODDORKThe Line of Best Fit, and more. Native Sun will also be embarking on a headlining EU tour later this year, and are set to play two NYC shows on July 13th at Tompkins Square Park and Our Wicked Lady. Full tour routing is below, you can buy tickets here.

"‘No’ captures the tension of trying to hold on to yourself while the world is pulling you in different directions," the band explains. "It’s the feeling of swinging between overload and emptiness, between faith and disillusionment. You’re searching for a foothold while the ground keeps shifting beneath you.”

Native Sun masterfully blends elements of garage rock and art rock with the energy of early punk. On "No," the band channels unrest through sharp contrast–quiet restraint cracked open by explosive bursts, blurring the lines between control and collapse. It was produced, mixed, and additionally recorded by Jonathan Schenke (Parquet Courts, Bodega, Snail Mail, The Drums), mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound, and engineered by Jeremy Snyder.

"No" is out today via TODO. Concrete Language is out September 19th.

^ w/ Fuzz Lightyear Native Sun Bio:

New York City’s Native Sun blends the raw energy of early punk and garage rock with the melodic sensibilities and depth of art rock. Fronted by Colombian-born Danny Gomez (vox/guitar) alongside Justin Barry (bass/vox)Jack Hiltabidle (guitar), and Argentine-born Nicolas Espinosa (drums), Native Sun is celebrated for their visceral, untamed live shows and Gomez’s socially-charged lyrics that confront reality head-on—channeling disillusionment into action and lovingly documenting the lives of society’s misfits and marginalized.

The band has recently gained press and support from notable outlets including  Rolling Stone, So Young Magazine, CREEM, Nylon, DORK, BBC, FLOOD, BrooklynVegan , and even Iggy Pop himself.NATIVE SUN LINKS
