Things I Noticed in a Zone of Calm By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Hi Everyone,

It is the day after Independence Day in the USA. Some people are still celebrating and will be all weekend. That’s what happens when a holiday falls on a Friday.

I noticed that this appears to be the season of Day Lilies. As I was driving to my granddaughter’s birthday party, orange Day Lilies were everywhere. There were a few pink, but most were orange. I read somewhere that orange was a healing color. That would be good.

Of late, I have been enjoying a show called Comic Book Men starring Kevin Smith, Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, Mike Zapcic, and Ming Chen. I can’t help myself but laugh as they show real life in the comic book store known as Kevin Smith‘s comic book shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, in Red Bank, New Jersey. It’s funny and I enjoy their adventures in search of great items for their store, talking with customers who buy or want to sell what they have, and discussing the comic book world.

I love comic books, but especially graphic novels. I am always 10 years behind the rest of the buyers. Recently, I read Elvira, Mistress of the Dark: Witch Way to the Apocalypse? I think Elvira is wonderfully funny. I will be looking for the next book.

My cat Evie has her post on top of the sofa. That places her always looking over my shoulder.

I am working on my editor’s edits of my next book. Okay, I will when I’m done with this post.
