Rimig's Reading/Watching List: June 2025
MY THIRD BOOK...THE DESTROYED COUNTRY...
...SOON...
For this list, I'll be going in reverse order, listing what games I'm playing first and ending with the books I'm reading.
What I'm Playing!
Startropics: After his uncle is abducted, Mike Jones sets out on a journey through the tropics to find his whereabouts, eventually taking up a quest to save the remains of an alien civilization.
An underrated gem from the NES' library, and a childhood favorite of mine! It's quite difficult and rather tricky in some parts, but its charm, soundtrack, and overall fun factor more than make up for any frustrating moments! Mike Jones for Super Smash Bros. on the Switch 2!
What I'm Watching!
Nothin'!...again.
I'm still watching The Middle, and occasionally watching movies with my grandparents here and there. We are hyped for a movie coming out in theaters next month, though...
What I'm Reading!
The Tainted Ruins by Josiah Smallwood: After finding the Inglorious River, Makkedah and her friends set out to find a new landmark, the Tainted Ruins, while their old adversary, Ring, seeks to join the group in search of answers to Empress Sabtechai's past.
Going to read and review my second book in the near future! I had a lot of fun revisiting my first book, and I'm hoping this one will be even better!
The Girl & the Galdurian by Tim Probert: After an ancient threat puts the land of Irpa in turmoil, two heroes, a human girl and a Galdurian — a member of a race thought to be extinct — are paired together to save the day.
Avatar: The Last Airbender and Philosophy: Wisdom from Aang to Zuko by Johan De Smedt: A collection of essays and lessons discussing, analyzing, and celebrating the animated tv show Avatar: The Last Airbender, featuring philosophies from both eastern and western schools of thought.
Phoenix Flight by Jessica Khoury: In a world where everyone is born with wings — OH. MY. GAWSH.
This book will be amazing, I'm sure of it. And Mrs. Khoury, on the extremely tiny chance that you're reading this, thank you for writing it and this series. But I am so ready to GET. THIS. READ.
I meant for it to be one of my reads on a previous month, but it ended up not happening, and since then, I've included the Skyborn series on a good few countdowns because the series and world are both awesome. But even so, I've brought it up so many times, each time irked at myself for not knowing how it ends, that I'm ready to finish these books up. THIS WILL FINALLY BE THE TIME!
And if not, y'all feel free to roast me in the comments.

Sabtechai's Saga is about to enter its second half, y'all! Stay tuned!
