'Frail' David Hasselhoff's Health Problems Land Him in Wheelchair
Actor David Hasselhoff is suffering from a major health concern as he was photographed in a wheelchair.
On May 7, 2025, Page Six reported that Hasselhoff, 72, was pushed in a wheelchair through the Los Angeles International Airport after returning from a trip to Cancun, Mexico.
“I’m having knee surgery next week," Hasselhoff informed photographers, according to Page Six, which also reported that the actor "limped" when he tried to walk with his wife, Hayley Roberts.
Us Weekly, which described Hasselhoff's appearance as "frail," reported that his spokesperson revealed: “He was seen in a wheelchair because he’s having a knee replacement surgery next week."
Hasselhoff has had a tough go of it lately. Pamela Bach, his ex-wife and the mother of his two daughters, took her own life in March 2025 at the age of 61, according to People.
According to The New York Post, the photos of Hasselhoff in a wheelchair "sparked concern."

The Post noted that Hasselhoff needed airport workers to push him in the wheelchair both when he left Cancun for Los Angeles on May 6 and when he arrived at the California airport.
The photos show Hasselhoff wearing a black baseball cap and jeans with a striped shirt.
According to The Post, Hasselhoff was in good spirits despite the health issues. He "flashed a smile and gave an encouraging thumbs-up to the cameras" before "grabbing hold" of his wife, 45, as he got out of the wheelchair, The Post reported.
Hasselhoff's spokesperson denied he was in dire straits to The Post, saying, “David is doing fine and actually he and [his] wife were returning from a great vacation in Cancun last week."
