Is the Android Tablet really better than the iPad?

I have a buddy, a very outspoken and sometimes arrogantly opinionated friend, who swears the android tablet is better than the iPad? Does anybody feel differently about the android tablet? What makes the android tablet so wonderful?

Opinions often differ as to the best iPads and which is the most popular iPad models. Some new iPads are listed below, but how well can they compare to the android tablet?

I can't deny the android tablet appears to cost less than many of the iPads, but what about performance beyond just price? I hope to hear from some happy and disgruntled android tablet users as well as iPad people who are less than pleased who can provide us some insight.

Of the best iPads and most popular iPad models I listed below (please scroll down), what is your view in regard to the current best iPads on the market?

I'd love to hear from you as I consider these new iPads before making a purchase.

I realize the popular iPad models may not necessarily be the best, but rather the best advertised.

I also prefer avoiding second hand items that I have no legal recourse or negotiating leverage with companies located overseas. I mean, why buy a new iPad for a few bucks less, only to have to return your popular iPad model because it doesn't work because it was a knockoff from a less than reputable supplier.

Buying new iPads from big companies widely known and with deep pockets is the best way to ensure if a popular iPad model stops working, your new iPad can be replaced or repaired. The last thing you want is a "new" iPad (intended to organize and ease the administrative burden of your life) that is used and leads you into a war with a less than reputable supplier.

Before I buy anything I like to price compare, hear from consumers and review the iPad models (or anything else for that matter beyond new iPads) with great detail.
