One person was killed and 2 others seriously injured in an accident at the Toulouse toll booth on the A68 motorway

A serious accident occurred on Friday evening at the Toulouse toll station on the A68 motorway linking Toulouse to Albi. The toll was heavy: one dead and two seriously injured.

The accident was violent, according to firefighters. Two cars collided, shortly before the A68 toll gate in the direction of Toulouse-Alpes, on Friday evening at 10:30 p.m. The circumstances of the accident remain to be clarified.

When help arrived at the scene, two victims were trapped in metal sheets. Firefighters and SAMU perform CPR. The highway was closed in the direction of the accident until emergency services responded.

The toll is devastating: a man of about 20 died, a 25-year-old man in an absolute emergency, and a 28-year-old man in a relative emergency.

The injured person was taken to hospital in an absolute emergency, while the second injured person was transferred to a clinic in Toulouse.

The intervention mobilized 18 firefighters, SAMU, police, gendarmerie and teams from Vinci Autoroutes.
