Life Tools: How A List Can Make You Feel Better By Susan Hanniford Crowley

The Life Tools for today is simple and easy–create a gratitude list! The nice thing about this list is you can keep it private or put it up on your bulletin board where you can see it. You can add to it. You can use an overall term for good stuff or people or be specific.

If you are going through a hard time, a gratitude list can make you feel better emotionally.

Here is my example. I am grateful for: (not in order of importance)

God My family – they are awesome My husband – he really helped to pull me through cancerMy friends are amazing My churchWriting. I love writing my fantasy romance books so much. My readers. I am so happy when one of them emails me or sees me at a convention and tells me how one of my books has helped them or how much fun they have reading them.My childrenMy son-in-lawMy grandchildrenMy catMy home – I know how fortunate I am to have a home.My health – I recently celebrated being cancer-free for 5 years.My brain – I love getting so many ideas and being creativeBeing alive

Well that’s my list so far. Of course, it can be added to. Try making a gratitude list for yourself.

Whenever things were bad, I make a list and saw that my life wasn’t as bad as I thought. I still had things to be grateful for.

Now even when things are good, I make the list, and it just makes me smile all day.

I am grateful.
