Ask dumb questions!

The premise of Thinking About Thinking…… is to indulge curiosity. If I were the superintendent of schools, there would be two requirements for graduation:

Stay curious and ask questions.

Demonstrate the ability to debate either side of an issue with equal fervor.

Curiosity is childlike. There are no dumb questions from children because we give them permission not to know. And they have no sense of whether a question might be embarrassing - because we don’t expect them to understand adult sensitivities.

So, after you’ve shown these two crucial abilities:

Keep breathing!

Take the next step.

Any questions?
