How to deal with a psychopath is a question I occasionally get asked as a minister and life coach. The dictionary defines a psychopath as - a mentally ill or unstable person: especially a person who engages in antisocial behavior and exhibits a pervasive disregard for the rights, feelings, and safety of others.
Not every self-centered person we know or meet in life is a psychopath, although sometimes it is easy to wonder and jump to that conclusion. LOL
The first thing I teach on how to deal with a psychopath is self-respect, boundaries and learning how to say no without feeling guilty.
You must teach people, psychopaths included, how to respect and treat you ...by tolerating nothing less.
What you tolerate will dominate and thereby perpetuate your pain. Stop making excuses for poor behavior of the psychopath in your life.
If you want to know how to deal with a psychopath, it begins with loving yourself enough not to allow other people to invade your space, manipulate your life and drive you nuts.
