Good gut health is essential for your childâs good physical and mental health.
And giving your child probiotics is a wonderful way to build good gut health
You can give your child these 3 homemade probiotics
1. Curd
Heat the milk to just below boiling temperature. Then add a bit of curd and mix it in well. Keep the mixture in an area where the temperature is around 40-45°C for around 4 hours.
2. Hand pounded chutneys
Pound ingredients like Coriander (dhania), mint (pudina), tomatoes, coconut, sesame seeds, peanuts, gongura leaves by hand using a mortar and pestle or a sill batta. Make the Chutneys fresh every day and serve in small quantities.
3. Pickled vegetables
Cauliflower, carrot, radish and other root vegetables can be pickled by fermentation at home using mustard powder, salt and water. Serve your child tiny quantities.
But just giving your child probiotic rich food is not enough.
