Beach Read: Vampire in the Basement By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Vampire in the Basement is the 4th book in the Vampires in Manhattan series and is the sequel to When Love Survives, Book 1. It tells the story of Regina and Gregor when they go to his family home in Maine for their wedding.

Some people read When Love Survives first then Vampire in the Basement. It gives you a wonderful continuous story. It can also be read alone. I wrote Vampire in the Basement after Books 1-3 from the Vampires in Manhattan series were published. Like the others it is written from a dream. You may know how various things can go wrong at a wedding. Even at paranormal weddings, unexpected things happen.

Gregor’s family is based on my study of the Norse sagas where even in a family, people may shift to a different animals. There is a bunny shifter in the story and like a rabbit she is fast in many ways. I don’t want to give anything away here.

My entire goal for this book was to be fun and somewhat whacky. It has its steamy moments. In 2010, it was nominated for a Bookie Award for Best Shifter Short Story. This is the 2nd publishing for this fun short paranormal adventure romance book.
