Avoiding What God Called You to Do?

“You are trying to avoid what I called you to do,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke strongly to my heart.

I knew it was God. Why? Because it was true. He had made crystal clear for quite some time He was calling me to do something. And I was avoiding it.

Why? Fear. I would not be able to do it. I would fail. It would be yet another example of my not succeeding. In mine and the world’s eyes anyway.

Excuses aside, I was not stepping forward in faith. I was not putting my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ...
