Not so fast…not so fast

Not so fast Mr. and Mrs. America and all ships at sea….Columbia, Harvard and Berkeley students may not know the answers to these two very basic questions.

They may be mystified.

1. Dear Adolf Eichmann, do you support the anti-Jewish protestors occupying US campuses?

2. Dear students, do your protests honor the memory of Adolf Eichmann?

Owlseyes Eichmann is dead, dead.

“No, Mr Netanyahu. It is not antisemitic or pro-Hamas to point out that in a little over six months your extremist government has killed 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 77,000 – 70 per cent of whom are women and children. It is not antisemitic to point out that your bombing has completely destroyed more than 221,000 housing units in Gaza, leaving more than one million people homeless – almost half the population,”

I wonder who said this. Maybe you know him. Vermont rings a bell?

He's so right.

David Gustafson Civilian suffering is the unfortunate collateral damage of Israel defending its people and its nation from the Hamas terrorists who massacred Israeli families on October 7 and since use women and children as shields and hospitals as command centers.

Israel has no choice but to protect its people by eliminating every single Hamas terrorist.

The civilian suffering will end when Hamas is eliminated.

Paul Martin I'm quite sure these posts of yours have the opposite effect of what you intend, David. Everyone sharing your view on this is already on board. The remaining neutrals are just getting more and more baffled at the insanity of this whole affair.

If your mission is to contribute to the accelerating erosion of Israels moral legitimacy, you're doing a great job.

David Gustafson Martin Luther King is curious, Paul, very, very curious if these “remaining neutrals” were baffled by the Hamas invasion and massacre on October 7.

You may have read somewhere that he once remarked that the hottest place is Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict.

Where were you standing on October 7th?

message 5: by Paul Martin (new)

Paul Martin Most sane people don't enjoy seeing innocents get murdered. That is why it's entirely possible to be saddened by October 7th, while still condemning Israel's course of action after that.

You remember how it was possible to be angry about 9/11 while still opposing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Owlseyes An open letter to my friend David (I promise I won't publish it in the Philosophical Salon)

David, a few questions have been bothering my mind:

(1) Is David an Islamophobe?
(2) Where was David in 1968? Columbia university was the "epicenter" of anti-war protest....
(3) Will the West lose Israel in the next few weeks?
(4) Should a bloodbath occur in Rafah in the next few weeks, will David say: "it's justified because there were a few terrorists in the midst of the population"
(5) Is the next sentence TRUE or FALSE: "Israel=Jewishness"
(6) Is university protest in the US (and elsewhere) free speech? are students just being manipulated? are they commies?
(7) Is Israel an "occupier"?

My guess is that David won't answer to any of the questions. He'll follow the golden rule: silence is gold. Fine. No answers to be published.

Owlseyes Good news: "ICC seek Israel & Hamas leaders A-R-R-E-S-T."

Of course, "good" depending on which side you're at.
