writing-prompt-s:

It turns out when you die you don’t face your own God, but instead face the God of whomever or whatever killed you.

Oh, hello.

Hello.

I’m.. dead then?

Afraid so.

I was driving too fast, wasn’t I?

Just a bit.

Lost control. Um. what… who are you?

I suppose I did.

To avoid something on the road.

Yeah. I guess. Went right into the ditch.

Well, don’t worry about that now. We’ll make sure you’re ok.

You… you will?

Oh, yes. It’s not everyday someone dies to save the life of one of my creatures.

One of your…. oh. I see. That’s what you are. Oh wow.

Well. Let’s start by passing on a thank you. From the one you saved. Who offered up a prayer on your behalf.

Oh. Ok. I didn’t know hedgehogs prayed.

Everything prays. Not every prayer gets heard. Mine do. Come along now. I think you’ll find this… rather pleasent.
