Intercede or Intervene?

Facing a big decision regarding how to help someone in need? Or even a group of people? Is it a really tough situation? Hard to decide what to do? Really emotional about it? Feeling you absolutely must help? Should you intercede or intervene?

Interceding is essentially standing in the gap in prayer for others as you cry out to God to help them and you pray as His Holy Spirit leads you to pray.
