Alfonso T. Ongpin's photo-documentation of the entries to the Rizal Monument Competition includes a series of photographs of the bronze figures of the Rizal monument still in the studio of the sculptor Richard Kissling. The bronze figures were cast in a foundry in Paris, while the base and obelisk were made from granite sourced in Switzerland.
