A few of the emails I received while away were about my
Vampires Realm romance series
that I write as F E Heaton, and most of them were about a certain male character and when his story will come out.
Because I often get asked about Hyperion and when we're going to see his book, I thought I would talk about it here on my blog so people can hopefully find the answer they're looking for.
Hyperion will get his book, but at the moment he's in the middle of his story.
Masquerade is the next
Vampires Realm novel out and at that point Hyperion is somewhere in the midst of his love story that began shortly after
Winter's Kiss, and will continue after
Masquerade in the timeline.
I would love to write his novel now, but I do have others that need my attention first. Remember Lilith in
Seventh Circle and the whole deal with her twin sister, Eve? Well, I need to write her story next. She'll be paired with Tor, a very dark, lethal vampire of the Vehemens bloodline who has been sent by Lincoln to escort her home to Lilith in Oslo, Norway.
I also need to write Ineru and River's story, which was hinted at in the
Prophecy Trilogy. Both of these books are set pre-
Masquerade. In the timeline, Eve's story would have happened sometime between
Seventh Circle and
Masquerade, and Ineru's story was happening at the time of the
Prophecy Trilogy. I want to get these two written before writing any more stories set in the present.
So, Hyperion lovers will need to wait for
Hunger (Eve & Tor's story) and
Forever After (Ineru & River's story) before they'll get their hands on his novel. However, he does make a rather grand appearance in
Masquerade, and since
Forever After is his sister's story, he will be appearing in that one a lot too. Both
Hunger and
Forever After should come out in 2013.
I know this isn't the answer most of you probably want to hear, so I'll sweeten the deal by mentioning that I intend to finish the series of free
Eternity stories that chart Hyperion's rise to power and the major events in his life, and those will be released on the
Vampires Realm website in 2012 and 2013.
